If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
If I can hire someone to help me, it would definitely be cleaning and yard work. I enjoy cooking, so having someone to cook for me would just make me feel miserable that they would have all the fun. Cleaning and yard work, that’ll be great. I hate getting on my hands and knees to clean the floors, pull the dirt out of the vacuum filter, and don’t get me started with pulling the weeds. Ugh.
What makes you laugh the most?
It’s easy to make me laugh, simply tickle me, that should do it. What makes me laugh the most though is when I watch physical comedy. I’m sure those would make anyone laugh.
What was your favorite food when you were a child?
One of my favorite food when I was a child is Macaroni n’ Cheese and not the kind from the box. It’s the kind made from large soft elbow macaroni pasta with runny cheese. The only place I could get it was at school and that only became my favorite food after coming to the U.S. In China, I was consumed by the desire to get fast food that all other foods just became bland to me. Unfortunately though, I didn’t get a lot of fast food in China as you can read here.

Ah Macaroni Cheese, brings back childhood memories of dinner at my Grandma’s down in Withernsea. Normally she would serve it with either Worcester Sauce or a mild chilli sauce on toast, occasionally on crumpets.

I’m learning to make Macaroni and Cheese at the moment, not the box stuff, the kind made from a box of pasta, cheese, and milk. So far, two failed attempt, this last time was close though but yeah, it definitely brings back memories of middle school.

I think the secret is to get your pasta half soft before you mix with the cheese and milk sauce

Yes, I got that part right. The tricky part for me is making the cheese sauce.

It might be worthwhile trying a softer cheese such as Talagigo or Gorgonzola

Yes, I think one more try and I’ll get it. This last time was the flour. I couldn’t get the lumps out fast enough.

Like any other child, my fave food when I was a kid was spaghetti and hotdog. Of course, fried chicken will come in next. Hehehe!

Spaghetti and hot dog are good too but I’ve had too much of those. I like something that’s kind of rare like Mac n’ cheese since I grew up eating Chinese food. 🙂

I never tire of eating chinese food specially the birthday noodles and dimsums… And of course, wanton mami.

Oh, I’m never tired of dimsum and noodle either. It’s the rice, boiled vegetables, and the same thing every night that I’m tired of.
