Last Sunday, I went hiking up the Canyon Hollow Trail.

So my mom is being a eager helper again, helping her former student’s mother look for an apartment in the downtown area.
Last Monday, the day before Independence Day, beneath the near 100-degree sun, my mom, aunt, and I took a fast-paced 2-mile stroll along the exercise trail at the air force base.
I took another day trip yesterday. This time, the destination was Golden Spike National Historic Site.

Last week (week of Jan. 29 – Feb. 4), due to the Chinese New Year holiday, my aunt was off from work and seeing I’m in dire need of exercising, she, along with my cousin and uncle, took me hiking.
A few nights before Chinese New Year, I accompanied my aunt and grandpa to Spring Flower and Light Festival at a local park.
My second week in China started out busy but by Wednesday, I was exhausted and wanted to stay home for one day.
After staying in China for almost a week, I learned that navigating the roads in China is an incredibly dangerous task.
