Friday Fictioneers: Left Behind

It was a minute after someone yanked the sack from his head that he registered his surroundings. “Here’s where we leave you.” The giant with the piercings and tattoos boomed in his thick voice.

He glanced around, taking in the desert and mountainous landscapes around him. “Where’s here?” He asked slowly but the giant had slammed the door in his face as the van peeled away. “Wait!” He shouted as he sprinted after it. Don’t leave me here, he wanted to say but was so breathless he couldn’t get the words out. After a minute, he stopped and panted, “Wait…”
