I went to Bear Lake for the second time last week. I went this time with my mom and some friends. Our friend’s husband (the driver) navigated through Logan Canyon skillfully and quickly and before I knew it, we arrived at one of my favorite spots to take pictures. As I stood there, snapping pictures, my mom and friends asked me a question I had never thought of asking myself, “Why is the water at Bear Lake so blue?”
I shrugged. I’ve never been a big fan of science but that was interesting. I think I’ll Google it.
After snapping a few more photos, we got back into the car and headed for the beach. As soon as everyone started wandering around the beach, I began setting up my tripod, hoping to capture a few good long-exposure. Disappointingly, none of them came out as I had imagined.
So I decided to do some post-processing in Lightroom for the first time ever. The above (10-seconds exposure) photo looks much better after going through Lightroom.
