Friday Fictioneers: Showtime

“I feel so stupid.” He muttered, smoothing his hair before putting on the baseball cap. “How do we even know he’s gonna show?” 

“Just trust me,” a female voice spoke through the ear-piece in his ear, “he’s gonna show.”

He sniffed, and when he does, it’s showtime.

Nonchalantly, he walked store to store, pretending to window-shop while his senses on high alert. After a few minutes, as he began thinking, I should really come back here and shop once this is over, his partner’s voice boomed in his ear. “I see him. He’s heading to the west parking lot.”

Showtime.
