Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to….
I am looking forward to arriving in Hong Kong and then going somewhere with a bed because I believe I will be exhausted. I’ve probably mentioned this a dozen times in the last two weeks, I’m flying to Hong Kong today and will be spending about two weeks in my hometown of Zhongshan to take care of some family stuff (ugh!).
Then I’m coming home to look for a new job. Yesterday was my last day and everyone still thinks I’m going to hop over to China and come right back to work like nothing happened. I think I’ll have to break the bad news to the boss one day. I hate to be the bad news bearer.
What is your favorite comfort snack food?
I don’t snack. I usually eat three meals with nothing in between. I don’t think I’ve ever snacked, not even when I was little. I think the problem I have with snacking is once I start eating, I can’t stop. That’s why I weigh everything I eat now.
What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?
Hmm, I think my first moneymaking job was as an ESL (English-as-a-second-language) tutor at a local private school. I did that for about 2 years before quitting. Don’t ever have a barely-adult teach a bunch of technology-addicted teenagers!
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated getting the opportunity to hike on Sunday even though it was my mom’s idea and she ended up bailing, leaving me to hike alone. It was great exercise for me. I lost plenty of calories and probably gained some muscles. I also got some awesome shots.
I just wished my throat didn’t ache and itch.
