100 Word Wednesday: Grandma’s Antique Shop

My grandma used to tell me this story about how she owned an antique shop in Europe during second World War. “It was a place where spies came to trade secrets or rendezvous. There would be a brand new password each day so an intruder could be recognized. There was even a secret room hidden behind the china set that not many could gain access,” Grandma would lean in, whisper, “it’s an extremely sophisticated Chinese puzzle box,” and wink.

“What happened to it?” I would ask.

“One night, the Nazis raided the shop, they captured the spies, and destroyed everything.”
