Friday Fictioneers: The Usual Spot

Every morning at exactly 7:30 AM, he would seat at the counter and would hold up a section of the newspaper while his breakfast – ham and cheese omelette with a side of sausage – was being prepared. The remaining sections of the newspaper and any flyers would be on the seat next to him. Everyday was the same and soon, this became his usual spot, that was until these three ladies came along and caused a stir in the diner. “That’s not my order…no, that’s mine!” They would argue every morning. One morning, he slammed his paper and left and never returned.
