“Ooh, wow,” John leaped a step back to reel in a fish. “It’s a big one.” He said and dangled the fish before Sarah’s face. “How did you know this amazing place?”
“Are you kidding? I used to come here all the time with…” She turned away as she swallowed the tears. Her father had recently passed and Sarah still felt the pain every time she thought of him.
“Oh,” With his other hand, John ran a hand over his scalp, feeling awkward. “I’m sorry.”
“That’s okay,” Sarah shook her head and took a deep breath, “It’s not a big deal.”
