100 Word Wednesday: New Boy in School

Teri could hear the twigs snapping beneath the soles of her shoes as she ran through the woods. This wasn’t her usual morning jogging route. She was following someone, a mysterious someone, the new boy at school. Ever since they’d bumped into each other on the first day of school, she had been having a weird vibe about him and was determined to find out.

Quickly, she hid behind a tree as he stopped, looked around before jumping through the hole among the branches. The moment he’s out of sight, she ran to the hole and peeked. He was gone.

  2. Jumping down the proverbial rabbits hole — how exciting! I wonder if he’ll come back…or will she try to follow? I’m glad you didn’t give the the new boy a name quite yet because it’s not really about him at this point, it’s all about her. You never cease to whet my appetite for more of the story 😉 Thanks for joining us again this week ❤
