Share Your World – 2016 Week #41

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Yes, I do believe in love at first sight. I believe we are all created as half of a whole and we are destined to reunite with our other half. Unfortunately, no one knows who their other half is, so I guess we’ll have to count on love at first sight.

Your first car?wp-1466223423061.jpeg

A 1995 Red Ford Escort. My mom bought it from a friend for a steal and we didn’t know until after my mom bought it that it was a clunker but it served me well over the years. I finally had to let it go and sell it last year. This picture is mislabeled, by the way. Now I drive my mom’s old car, a 2006 Blue Kia Spectra. They both have the same name: Baby.

Who taught you to ride a bike? How did it go?

Father teaching son how to ride a bike

Honestly, I don’t remember, probably my mom. My dad was always afraid of me getting hurt so my mom did most of the teaching and I don’t think she was not a good teacher because here I am, in my mid-20’s and still don’t know how to ride a bike. I often blamed her for teaching me to ride a bicycle using a four wheeler – one wheel in front and three in the back.

Ugly and rich or beautiful and poor?

Are those my only choices? Can’t I be both beautiful and rich?

If I have to choose one, I’d choose beautiful and poor because appearance is everything these day and no matter how poor one is, they can always rise up base on appearance.

What was the first dish you could cook?

The first dish I could cook? That was a long time ago, um, probably a bowl of ramen or some kind of noodle. I love noodles. If you ask what was the first thing I learned to cook, that would be blueberry muffins. It was the first time I made something.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful I survived the weekend with burning eyes. It wasn’t my eyes that burned, it was my eyelids and the skin around my eyes. The doctor is afraid the lupus had begun spreading. I am too. Please don’t let that happen. Meanwhile, I am also grateful I don’t have rheumatoid arthritis and the safe arrival of my aunt. I’m not sure what’s coming up in the week ahead yet. We might take a trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats and West Wendover this weekend to gamble if the weather is in our favor. Please don’t rain – crossing my fingers.
