Macro Moments: Week 3

I am joining the challenge: Macro Moments, hosted by Susan at Musin’ with Susan. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time because it’s not easy to capture a picture of a bee with a point-and-shoot camera (nothing great, just a Fuji FinePix 7MP camera with a macro setting). In this case, I got the bee’s behind and that’s good enough for me.

As you can see, this was taken last year, summer to be precise. I’m sad to say that we don’t have this mint plant anymore, mom killed it last year. She said it’s growing too rapidly. I didn’t even know until a month ago.

  1. I have spent many happy sunny hours with my children as they sought to shoot ‘bee-on-a-flower’ images with point-and-shoot cameras. I enjoyed your bee photo, Yinglan … and it brought back those happy memories too πŸ˜€
Oh, but such a shame about your mint plant! Perhaps your mom would like a thyme plant or a lavender plant – they aren’t so large and the bees would still love the flowers and stay long enough for you to capture more photos πŸ˜€

    • I’m starting to think she doesn’t like plants at all because she kills the plants every year. Thank you for reading and I’m glad the photo brought back happy memories. πŸ™‚
