Monday’s Finish the Story: The Prediction

2015-10-12-bw-beacham1Now this is living the life of Riley.

12 hours ago, April woke up and panicked. She said new body, not this! She shrieked as she surveyed the world from a new perspective.

24 hours ago, her friend, Jane, had come to her cubicle at work and convinced her she needed to have some fun. Jane’s definition of fun is doing weird stuff such as going to see a psychic. “Come on,” she said, “you don’t have to believe their predictions. It’s fun.”

April agreed. Hey, all work and no play would make April a sad girl, she thought.

“You will wake up in a new body.” They laughed as the psychic told them the prediction.

Ah…April screamed as she woke up about 12 hours later but funny thing was she could only hear her mental voice while everything coming out of her mouth was, “meow.”

She panicked but gave up after 5 minutes and flopped onto her bed, “oy vey.”
